Eva Sperl was born in Hannover and studied at the local College of Music and Theatre with Bernhard Ebert and the Brazilian pianist Roberto Szidon. After her graduation she enrolled at the College for Music and Theatre in Leipzig and carried on doing postgraduate studies in the subjects piano, chamber music and accompanying songs and with Gerhard Erber, Horst Böhm and Karl-Peter Kammerlander. There she finished her studies with the graduate piano recital and gained a Distinction in chamber music and accompanying songs. Several master classes completed her training.
Since 1997 Eva Sperl has held a university teaching position in coaching at the College of Music and Theatre "Felix-Mendelssohn-Bartholdy" in Leipzig. And also she teaches repetition at the College "Franz Liszt" in Weimar.
Eva Sperl regularly performs at concerts both as a partner in chamber music and as a soloist and she is very much sought after as an accompanist at international competitions and summer lectures, e.g. like the "International Summer Academy" of the Julliard School in New York.
